An increasingly competitive business environment, combined with the emergence and rapid evolution of new business models means that organizations are under mounting pressure to improve their existing processes and successfully launch new initiatives, particularly the development of applications that automate time consuming or complex manual activities.
Cambio is a complete Business Process Management System which enables businesses to automate, integrate, and collaborate with its end-to-end activities of an entire value chain. It is a standards-based open system that is built on strong process dynamics. Cambio provides a true process lifecycle management with sophisticated real-time activity monitoring and process analysis features, allowing the business to rapidly optimize the end-to-end processes right across the enterprise.
Cambio is an enterprise-class solution with the following as its primary components:
Process Modeling
A graphical design environment that is intuitive and easy to use, this tool is based on Business Process Modeling Notation (BPMN), an industry standard notation for representing process flow diagrams. The primary users of this tool are business analysts and non-technical people. This component is designed to analyze, model and deliver executable processes.
Process Repository with Version Control
An archive of the organization's business processes, policies, and procedures. It provides a version control mechanism with check-in and check-out functionality. Benefits include access-control, reusability, reduced development time and process consistency.
Business Rules Engine
Manages the unique needs of condition-based decision making. Business rule definitions are stored in a centralized repository, which may be applied globally in the process or across all processes. Business rules may be complex and involve information not known to the process engine. Business rules can change independently of the process model and the changes can take effect immediately.
Organization Model
A graphical tool to model the organization structure, which include divisions, departments, sections, teams/groups, roles/job-functions, and people. Also graphically represents the organization's subsidiaries, partners, associates, and their respective contacts. An essential feature of any BPM solution is the ability to route work items to the correct person. In order to do that, the system must know about the organizational structure and the way in which processes interact with it. At the simplest level, process definitions reference roles or queues. In one way or another, the BPM environment associates individuals in the company with these roles/queues, allowing the engine to resolve routing decisions and push work through the system to the appropriate people
Process Server (Execution and Integration)
A run-time environment that manages the state, process logic and execution of the stored process definitions and associated business rules in an operational environment, supports multiple concurrent, parallel or sequential paths of execution. Proactively drives information and tasks to applications. It orchestrates events within and across multiple processes. The engine is also responsible for allocating resources, ensuring thread-safety, and de-allocating the resources and database connections at the end of a transaction. It also enables connectivity to a wide range of enterprise applications through a standards-based interface and a library of adapters. This tool is focused on exchange of information between heterogeneous systems.
Real-Time Activity Monitor & Analysis (BAM)
Allows the organization to measure the effectiveness of business processes and provide analysis for improvements. Lets you track the events and activities that are generated from the execution of business process, along with analysis and metrics. The tool allows measuring performance with pre-built Key Performance Indicators (KPIs); or defining new KPIs. The process execution engine which is built on Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) relies on the exchange of XML messages; it is particularly well suited to increase the visibility of information. Messages can be routed to an information collector that extracts specific data elements from messages and create reports with them.
Work Portal
This is the primary user interface for all process participants. The web based client interface provides standard capabilities, like, prioritize the work items based on criteria, and define custom views for filtering work items. Provides interface for data entry and participation of other processes.
